Assignment 4

1.How do you like these tools?
It's the first time i know those usful tools on website. There are more valid ways can help me to know how to use one word in a sentence than use ditionarys.

2.What are their strength and weakness, in comparison with a dictionary?
Those tools can makes me have many choices and use a word carefully.But sometimes,they are too many imformations that make me feel confused.

3.What are the difficulties you encounter when you used these tools?
Might not able to find the usage i expect and the speed is too slow.

Assignment3-"Big"&"Large"

Question: Is there any rule governing the use of "big" and "large"? If yes, what is it? Use evidences to explain the major difference between the two words.

When I searched the two words,i discovered that they were very difference. "Big" is usually to describle concrete objects or abstract importance.
The other word, "Large" is used to link a guantity which is often to describle extensive.

I used Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary to solved my problem. The confusing two words were abandon and forsake. Because they are equivalents,i can't clearly to know what the difference between them.

The only i realized. "Forsake" is usually used in literary,it's a formal word than "abandon".

Hi,everyone.My name is Yun-Rong Zhao,and my english name is Joan.I come from nantou,it is a beautiful country.

I'm a sophomore student of NTUST,major in Architecture.It's a very tired but interesting department which is different to others.I spend a lot of time to making Architecture modles,not studying textbooks.

I always watching movies in my free time,and "Becoming Jane"is one of my favorite movie which is talked about a independent woman's story.

I expect that i can practice listening and speaking through this class
and meet many new friends on this class.
